Sweet Little Stockings
Sweet Little Stockings
As I was searching for ideas on Pinterest for an upcoming class, I found this cute Gift card holder by Jane Proffitt at Gal Friday Stamping & thought it was adorable! Click on her link to see her version.
But since I only had one pack of the Sweet Stockings DSP at home, I knew I wouldn't have enough to cover a whole class if I used a full card front of that Pool Party design, so I decided to come up with a different idea.
I stamped the little gifts & stars on a 4'' x 5 1/4'' piece of Pool Party CS, using Pool Party ink, and then embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder to add texture to it. I then glued that on a Basic White card base 5 1/2'' x 8 1/2'' (scored at 4- 1/4'')
The pocket was made using a die from the Sweet Little Stockings bundle. I cut out a 2 1/2'' x 4 1/2'' piece of that lights DSP, cut out the pocket. And then cut 1'' off from the top, flipped it and glued it onto the top part of the pocket.
I then used dimensionals to pop the pocket up, and the same behind the kitty's head. I used the Light & Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color the cute face!
For the greeting, I just stamped it in Cherry Cobbler ink on a piece of Basic White strip I had laying around. I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels & made a bow using a piece of the Striped Grosgrain Pool Party
Card #2-
And here's another card I had made last week with that same bundle, but I used the Bloom where you're Planted DSP for the Chimney.
I cut out a piece of Cinnamon Cider CS (1'' x 4 1/8''), rounded the 2 bottom corners using the Detailed Trio Punch, and then embossed it with the Bark 3D embossing folder.
I used the Tulips Punch for the flames with the Gold Shimmer Velum and the Label me Lovely Punch for the black part. And just embossed a couple of small strips of Early Expresso witht he Bark 3D embossing folder for the logs. Shaded Spruce cardstock cut out with the Sprigs Punch.
Thanks for stopping by & I hope I've inspired you to give this card a try!
