Peaceful Deer card
So my husband & his brother have their birthdays just before Christmas, only 4 days apart, so my Brother-in-law's girlfriend, Nancy, asked me if she could over some day to make a handmade Birthday card for him, so she came over tonight to play. She was at last Saturday's class, the first one I had since March 2020, and it was her first time making cards, she used to Scrapbook years ago, so I think we've got a new Stamper! Right Nancy??? LOL
He's a hunter too, so we had to include a deer! lol So I remembered a card I made with the Peaceful Deer bundle (I had cased from Susie Wood). I added the picture below, so you can compare, and if you click on that card, it will take you to Susie's blog in case you'd like to see how she made that one!
I originally was gonna do one for Rocky too (my husband), but then figured it would be weird if they opened up their cards together at the party and find the exact same card! lol So I'll make his later, so I decided to put the Merry Christmas stamp on mine! I forgot to take a picture of her finished card, it looks a lot different after all, she did really good at it, and is pretty good at improvising!
So I used Evening Evergreen & Crumb Cake this time, instead of Garden Green & Sahara Sand.
And the DSP strip is from the 2021-2023 In Color 6” x 6” DSP pack #155641
I love this pattern on all 5 In colors!!!
And instead of Basic Rhinestones, I used the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed dots (#156506)
The label is from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies (#156321)
Here’s the original card I made (cased from Susie Wood as mentioned)
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by!
